Sti Stock Exhaust

Sup guys i know i been missing in action for quite awhile but i need some help. I was wonderin if i could barrow someone who has an sti stock exhaust or a 2005 wrx stock exhaust from the downpipe back. Last nite some *** clown did a hit and run on my car when i was sleeping and my really good friend who has a repair shop said that the insurance company that i have which is AIG will either drop my coverage after the car is repaired or will make my policy go sky high because i have a race part on the car which is only muffler. So to avoid all the insurance hassle i would rather just change out my muffler. I will return the muffler once my car is repaired. Thanks for any help.

Red face Weird

the insurrance should at least took your side since it is a hit and run case... and your car was parked...

Correct me if I am wrong, but the insurrance should pay all the damages whether or not it is stock? or at least up to stock value?

In short, glad you are not hurt...

Nope. Insurance will not cover any aftermarket parts unless your policy covers them (AIG offers them as an add on, and I will consider doing it only for my stereo systems however).

well i just wanna be safe i have a very clean abstract and the premium that i pay for my car i think is very damn reasonable i pay just about $1600 a year. So if i can keep it at that and not risk it going up or getting dropped than ill rather play it safe.

Wouldn't that go against comprehension not collision seeing that it was a hit and run almost like vandalism? Which if it gopes against comprehension your rates shouldn't go up and what do they care about your exhaust it's your fender they need to worry about..I could be wrong just going off my experience.

I agree... it's not a collision. So it won't effect your rate supposedly... unless your insurance adjuster claims your car is moving on its own... that's another story...
