sti side splitters

has anyone taken off their sti side splitters off their 04 - 05 STI?

if so do you have to take off the whole bumper to do so? im going to install a cusco front lip soon and dont really feel like taking off the whole bumper

REal Easy!! I can do mines with the bumper still on and the expense of Forcing unwanted movements of body parts!! lol!! Nice acquisiton on the Cusco!!

haha thanks, one downside with cusco lip though.....$600 shipped and it didnt even come with stickers

so with the bumper still on would i have to take off the fender lining at all to get to the back of the bumper to take off any clips or anything holding on to the splitter themselves?

I always liked the Cusco front lip, but the price is the only problum for me. My STi is already low, I would be nervous to drive it around after install

great front lip though....Please post up pics afterwards

You have to remove the clips on the underside IIRC and just pull back the lining so you can get the the bar that holds them on the inside of the bumper cover.

It's to bad Joey's 3rd STi is in pieces, heading off to China

j/k you better call that dam paint shop and get your STi back, how long has it been already? It's turning out like another "Scion TC" incident with them.....
