STi Lubed And Ready For Action....

Alright, now that I have your attention....

I just wanna say Thank You to Ryan & Davin @ Vakamon Motorsports today for helping me, change my Rear Diff / Tranny / And Motor Oils earlyer today. Since I don't have the tools at home, Vakamon was the logical choice to go to.

My car recently hit 30,000 miles, and it was about that time to service the STi. Since the spark plugs were change just before the last PDX tune, they only had 3,000 miles. All I need to do was change the oils...If your planning to change your oils for your 30,000 mile service, here's a list of what I used:

-Moble 1 5w30 Full Synthetic Motor Oil 5 Quarts
-Moble 1 Oil Filter
-Redline 75w90ns (Trans) 3 1/2 Quarts
-Redline 75w90 (Rear Diff) 1 Quart

Today is the last day for Checkers Moble 1 Oil Bundle Deal (Moble 1 Oil Bundle - $4.99 a quart (min 5 quarts) and $9.99 for Mobil 1 Oil filter + $15.00 mail in rebate)

The Redline Oil was not cheap, I already had a bottle of 75w90 lying around the house unopen, so that was free, Normaly it's $8.99 quart. The 75w90ns was $12.50 a bottle, I didn't have that, so I went ahead and bought that.

All in All, Even without the discounts and that free bottle of 75w90. You'll be looking to spend around $100 worth of Oil's and filter to do the job. Hope this tread helps anyone looking to do the 30,000 mile service to there suby's..... And if you don't have the time or tools, take it to Vakamon!!!!

Thanks again Ryan and Davin, I'll bring some more heinekens next time I come over, looks like you fellas were low on your work fuel...

Sounds like a plan, how long did it take? and where did you get your Redline bottles?

I am planning to get my car serviced as well.

Thanks
