STi got hit, need repair shop recommendations...
Some idiot smacked my right rear today in the STi and sent me around on Kapiolani. Damn near smacked into a car waiting to turn. Reminded me of the games I played and the AWD cars would start to spin and with enough gas the AWD would pull you right back around, pretty much what happened. I saw him swinging wide and hit the gas and when the rear went around a quick flick of the steering wheel and the car straightened out just in time. He was merging from King and ran wide in his lane. Not a lot of damage, but the rear quarter panel and bumber are damaged. Of course the damage is less than my deductable so I have to wait for his insurance to pony up.
Just curious since I know paint is a ***** to match. I think one thing I have going for me is that the paint is brand new basically so it doesnt have the years of fading so maybe the blend will work ok.
Thanks for any suggestions.

If it was my STi it would have taken every bit of self control to keep from going postal on that idiot.

Oh Noooo!
That blows man.
Make him pay.
The color matching will NEVER be 100%.
Even if they paint the whole one side of the car.
Make him pay for a whole paint job.
Make sure you tell him its a limited production car.
What a stupid ideeeot.

I'd rather have a quarter panel that was 99% than a whole car without a drop of factory paint on it...

Thanks guys. Yeah I sat in the car for a couple minutes after pulling over and he pulled up. He came to the window and I just waved him away so I could calm down for a bit. He keeps calling me wanting to pay for it himself, I got screwed that way before, so I told him no way. I am going to let Allstate (his insurance) pay for it and make it 100% what it was. Just so damn pissed. The car will NEVER be the same and I will always know what happened. Grr...
