When a dealer is offering you money for a car we all know how far they will go to downplay your trade-in. Im gonna follow-up with Ed and see what he finds. Until then I am definitely not one to speculate since I would know. Ed drove it and said definitely synchros, but that could be it.

Yet the subaru 5-speed does have 1st and rev problems.
So who knows.
You know it has Moble1 syth trany fulid in it, which some say will make it grind more.
Re: Tim
No plans part with EcuTek, but may consider the Prodrives since I can put the stockers back on.

Lemme know what your schedule is and we will hook up and go for a ride, its a different beast to say the least. Took some nice turns tonite coming off of H1 into the King St exit and it just doesnt have any body roll, didnt push it, but was doing about 60 or so and took the hard left without any effort.
The oversteer and throttle-on-understeer (I know Im explaining this completely wrong) is a bit un-nerving still. I guess when I get on the gas the car wants to straighten out or something and when I get off it wants to turn at its insanely tight radius. Will take some serious getting used to.
Tim you notice that at all?

2. Is it the Black and Gold wheels that has Gold flake in the paint. Im sure all the blacks do, but just curious cuz its freakin AWESOME!
3. No idea on manuals, probably within a month once all the STis are rolling onto the mainland.
4. No floor mats (GRR), no auto-dim mirror (GRR).
5. Dont go over 4000 RPM, set your shift light for 3k like I did and then while accelerating once you see it you can nail the next gear. I still do some pretty hard acceleration (not that you need much in this rocket), but still stay below 4k for about 1000 miles. About halfway there now myself.

I have to say it takes some getting used to but it does not block much of your field of vision. You can always crank your seat up higher if you find it really annoying.
Dave,
I does like to turn better then a WRX. I've only put about 120 miles on it at this point, and a lot of my driving has been straight line driving. Now that I've swaped my stuff from the wagon I plan to drive it more.
I've found it's hard to keep the RPMs down. I set it to beep at 3500 now so I have some time to shift, otherwise it's flying over 4000.
Since the suspension is similiar to my wagon setup (STi) I'm pretty much used to the ride quality.
BTW, mine had a 2004 WRX manual in the glove box that also covered the STi functions (DCCD, IC Sprayer, etc..). Not in great detail. Did you get anything?

Yeah the ride is rough, but I like it for sure.
WHAT! I gotta check my manual. Been staying away from all the new stuff since I am clueless how to use it. I will check more thoroughly. Maybe they didnt realize all the STi functions were hiding in the manual somewhere. Hope so...
