bubble?
pearl ?
haha

those refer to drinks with this tapioca ball in it. i think it originated in Taiwan, or thats what my friend from taiwan said.

The tapioca is pretty chewy and doesn't stay good very long. If the place leaves it out to long the texture is junk.
You can have it with tea or some type of smoothie.
I prefer MIlk Tea with mines.

In cali they have Tapioca Express Chains all over, its freakin cheap compared to some places here.

They had a lot of that in WA when I was there but when I lived here back in 95 there weren't any bubble tea places. There was only shave ice. I was at Kam shopping center today and passed by several shops that were selling the ish. It is really good but I like the smoothie one better because the liquid one is just like drinking sugar water (although the smoothie one is the same thing). The stuff will make your teeth fall out though.
