well to keep your thread on track...what if they didn't see you and you had to catch there attention? would you A) rev B) honk C)yell ? i would personally rev (more so if they were my friends) because honking is rude and yelling is just obnoxious. i would rather hear someone's motor and then look at there face or actions (by the way they're driving) to see if it's a friendly rev or not. if not then "to hell" with you or "it's on".

the horn is not rude...its a tool to be used in different ways for different reasons. A nice litlle beep-beep is a good way to get someones attention. It doesn't have to be a HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONK!
People in Hawaii are too afraid of using their horn. I'm not saying we should be like new yorkers, but a horn sounding is not automatically an f-u.
