So much for that plan...
Well, I won't be shipping my car to Japan after all. My initial cost estimates were waaay off and I just can't afford (or justify) the costs for shipping, altering, registering, etc... my car.
Plus, there are other circumstances that just came up that might prevent my extended stay over there (
) which is why I can't justify the steep price for such a short time over there. craptastic...
However, I do have another car lined up in my sights already.
And I will fight much harder to bring that one back when I do return to the US. But I have to make sure I can get it first...
For the record, I don't leave Hawaii for another three weeks, but I like to plan things and have things lined up well in advance so I can deal with 'surprises' with plenty of time. Having said that, I expect my situation to change at least a few more times before I do leave.
On a semi-related note, anybody need a set of brand new Bridgestone Blizzak LM25s? I won't be needing them anymore.... What's that you say? We're in Hawaii and nobody has any need for tires like that? Double craptastic....

Blitzen to be specific, with the wrinkled wing!!!
Of course he wants a legacy. After hearing what mine did who wouldn't? lol. Nah I read legacy's are a really popular platform out there.

It's going home to San Diego to languish for a few years...
Actually, I've got my eye on an S401 (229/400 to be exact) for sale... (but I might already be too late, it's already been taken off of the stock list that it was on...) I'm a little pissed about that right now...
The Blitzen was just going to be a secondary car if I was taking mine with me. Now I want to go really ridiculous if I want something even close to my car. I found another S401 (after some searching), but it isn't the WR Blue Mica that 229/400 was... and it isn't easily accessible to me. I don't even know what production number it is...
Can anybody think of a car better than an S401? S402s are too new and expensive (5,355,000 円) for me, so they're out. Besides, the S401 makes more power and is lighter than the S402. And I can't get another Impreza. After my car, it just wouldn't be able to compare. I'm open to suggestions at this point.

If all else fails, just pick up a IMPREZA and put a 20G from the 91-94 legacies and you'll have the best of both Worlds. Or just got all out and swap a 30R fully built like your 2.7L STi or a EG33 turboed... Some cool swaps IMO than the standard USDM 205 swap.

This might be of some us....

I'm pretty well focused on tracking down an S401 now. The only thing that I can think of that might compare with that is a Galant VR-4 type V, but I don't want to deal with electrical issues on an old Mitsu like I had to before....Regardless what I get I WILL find a way to bring it back.
