Up here in Kamuela on the Big Island it was really messy. .

Just finished cleaning up the house after the kitchen, bathroom and bedrooms puked their contents out into the house. Shelves collapsed, I watched a propane tank jump in the air and concrete footing flip over. My house moved about an inch on its foundation piers..Thankfully I was outside with the dog when it happened. Wife and baby not far behind me..

The whole house was flexing and shaking back and forth. I watched my lawn do the "wave" as the quake and aftershocks hit. We just had another aftershock about 5 minutes ago. All day long with that...

Ugh..

Yups, pretty nuts feeling. I was online when I felt it. I loooked around and was like "what the f-ck was that?" The a few seconds later, I felt a big one and I was like "Oh sh-t!." My GF was sleeping and she got up real quick!!!

 

Hope you all are good and safe. Been watching the coverage on CNN (they fed KITV coverage). Looks like the damage is just being reported.

 

just got back on. verison and sprint and nextel were the only cell phones working for the most part cause t-mobile was down for a cpl hours b4 it came back up.

 

I was sitting on my bed, scratching my head. "My bed is shaking but I don't think i'm doing it?" Then it got 2x worse. So I was just being thrown around clueless. LOL


I regret not looking outside to see what it looked like.. shucks, I missed my very first earthquake..

that was pretty nuts. i was at work getting ready to open up and everything shook like crazy then our generator went out. how's that for getting off early. hgha

 

I felt that all the way here... We received emails from Hawaii about what happened.. Hopefully everything is back to normal....

Dude, when the 6.6 earthquake took affect, I was sleeping in my bed..But the aftershock woke me up and thought about the movie, "The Exorcist"!!!

 

ya i was at drill on hickam when it hit and sucked cuz we stayed there all day till around 1500 before we could leave..ahh what a boring day..

 

I missed football... yeah... I felt it... it was nuts!!
