slightly discouraging

just got home from work and have something to say about the ride home...

was cruising next to a raced/riced out honda civic hatch back that was really nice with a spiffy orange paint job. i wasnt trying to race him, he wasnt trying to race me... just cruising in mutual respect. then we got buzzed by a black wagon doin like 500 mph and using the highway like a personal race track. just because its not a holiday doesnt mean people shouldnt be driving safe.

everybody take care on the roads. dont want to see another suby go into the stat books as a total loss.

It's pretty cool when you're driving and you notice a tastefully done up Civic, Civic Hatchback, 350z and whatnot, and the driver is mellow enough to not raise a big enough eyebrow to you coming up.. Nowadays, it's pretty hard to see "mutual respect" on the freeway.

Unless it's because I live in Ewa WOO WOO.... ?

This reminds me of some occasions where I wasn't seeing right, and I accidentally cut off a car or whatnot; pretty bad. I felt like complete crap. I'd wave my hand or something but the person behind me would never know how sorry I was. So I just keep driving and understand that i'd probably be deemed a complete asshat. Hopefully during the times that this happened, I didn't give subaru's a bad reputation . . . .

i live on H1 and usually get mutual respect from other enthusiasts with the exception of a handful of times(yellow rex, scion xb, and a civic hatch). the guys who like to use me as a pace car are the putz's in their camry's and SUVs - as soon as i change lanes to let them go, they slow down cuz they don't want to speed on their own.

oddly enough, now that i'm driving an explorer around, people love to cut me off. it's like i'm a cow on the road with a 'kick me' sign on my back
