slideshow help
i have to do this slideshow for work.... a year end party thing and i was wondering which slideshow program worked best? powerpoint is simple but i want something nicer.... anyone got ideas... i would prefer a pc program
I didn't really try different programs... but I bought the Roxio Easy Media Creator a few years ago (from Costco) and I liked it. I've made about 7-8 slideshows with it already... mostly for birthday or graduation parties. I did have a problem with it after I upgraded to Internet Explorer 7.0 though. It wasn't that hard to learn how to use...but over time I've gotten bored of the transitions... so I'm possibly going to look into something new or a newer version.
proshow producer
for my wedding i used proshow producer by photodex. it is an awesome program with masks, layers, transitions. it is pretty easy to use and from the photo forums that is what a lot of pros are using. the proshow gold is the cheaper version and is just as good minus the masking.

Wow. I watched the demo... very impressed. Perhaps just what I've been looking for since I've nearly mastered & outgrown the Roxio program. Might be time to take a step up!
Did you purchase this locally or online?
no problem. the program is simple to use and very powerful if you understand masking and layers. their forums is also very helpful.
I think a good number of professionals use this program if they aren't using adobe premire for slide shows.
i don't think you can purchase this locally. only through the website.
good luck with your slideshow.
