Shooting Ranges?
Shooting Ranges?
Anyone know of any accessible to civilians, Im sure you military guys have easy access, but just want somewhere to go blow off some stress and such. Sold all my fun guns (9mm, 7mm, Mini-14) but have my little 22s still that I want to just go fire off.
Looking for a place I can also rent some other pistols as well...
Thanks.

Magnum down in town has a shooting range. Its a pretty good place. Its one of the better indoor ranges. As an avid gun collector, pistol marksmanship is one of my better ways to relieve stress. I never store ammo nor my gun in the house though. I leave it with my uncle who is a really good gun collector and he takes care of my guns. I have a Glock 27, Para Ordinance, a H&K MK23 Tactical, and a Strayer Voigt Infinity Competition Limited 5 inch.
if you just want to shoot .22's, koko head is fine...crappy thing is they only let you load five rounds. also, you can't rapid fire.
the guys on the pistol range are cool....the guys on the rifle range are ******...they were probably abused and teased as children.
As for Magnum...I don't think Ill ever go there again....the ammo there is way overpriced if you're shooting there...a box of .40 costs around 15-20. .22 should be cheap, never shot .22 there. I think they have rental guns though. the guy that owns magnum is a *****...he doesn't really know much about firearms and not many people care for him.
Security equipment and the kaneohe store are the best places to go.
Getting a lane is also expensive, you have to pay by the hour. There used to be coupons in the HRA paper, not sure if they're still in there though.
I'm pretty sure magnum is the only indoor range left, the one in waikiki doen't count as a range. Its also pretty small, only four lanes i think.
Someone really needs to open a good indoor range here. The best one that I've been to was WSI in bellevue...too bad they closed up.

Is this the one around the island past Diamond Head? I think I saw that before. Only 5 rounds?!?!? WTF? I will go check it out. What a bummer, figured there would be somewhere better to shoot here. Oh well. Glad I sold my real guns then.

Yup, thats the one....I guess since the city runs the range, more then five rounds is just TOO dangerous for Hawaii.
