She's Out & Running

After 2 months of waiting I finally got my tranny back. (It's been in break-in-period for over 1700miles now.

So I decided to take it to the track for a test drive. 3 passes.

After those 3 runs, We are now ready to go for the world record on stock internals all boost. (10.60).

We will go 2nd week of Jan. 08 and well see what happens

Here are the 3 videos & 1 Pic:

This was all on pump gas 93 Oct Shell.

1. Nice and Easy.

I'm running on my stock transm. I'm in break-in period due to a missed-shift and broke few parts internal. No leaks though. I manage to still drive the car home, 2 m0onths ago.

Now Im just trying to break it in good and get ready for the flat foot shifting

Way to go...so what happens if your internals break? Will you then go with a full internal build or just replace with OEM?

Hey wasssup Blake !!!

if for some odd-reason I break the engine.

Then its time for the 9second project to start.

I will then install a custom Georgie Performance engine and go from there.

Jose, what do you know if anything about this car???

http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=1413090

He claims to have $100k invested, sale price under $30k is damn fine.
I like it, just don't know if i can afford to replace the parts WHEN i break them.
That is a serious car for a serious buyer.

Hey Howzit going !!!

1st My burnins car is sweet and he is legit, but I dont and cant see where are the $100k. If anything maybe about $50k & labor included.

Give me 100k I'' guarantee I'll have the fastest subaru ever...running 8sec...

-The price is right...regardless

Now on my point of view.

With the list of mods he has and all the enige work on that car he should be running low 10's w/o a doubt.

10.87 @ 127 doesnt seem to impress me. Im w/ stock engine(stock internals) and had a 10.97 @ 131 w/ clutch issues, (now corrected ). Thats the key factor. There might be room for improvement on the tunning and maybe in the driving skills & it should run better.

I would still buy it and go from there.

Now, about affording the problems breaking the engine cost wise, It shouldnt be that much. If it does breaks it can be either by a few things:

1. pistons and rods: $1200
2. Heads -------------- $ range: $800-$3400
3. Rear axles-( DSS stage 4 bar upgrade $600 or the complete assy. $1900)
4. Tranny ( Only if you miss a shift---lol---(thats what happened to me over-rev'd) or if you a bad driver and mess **** up......Range from $1500 - 2400

Thats about it, thats the most frequent issues on that level of awhp.

Bottom line:

Get the car !!! You will be saving your self well over $30k in performance parts and it's a 10. second car.

Good Luck & Happy Holidays !!

Jose

Thanks for the response. This car should actually go to someone that has the FACILITIES to drive it to it's full potential (we are still trackless in honolulu). I hope it goes to someone that will drive it. Damn though, I'd really pick it up

Should look into it really quick and buy it.

If you get it and they ever do open up the tracks, im willing to fly over and t=drive that beast for you for great results Thats not a problem.

Its just like everyone, You will get used to it slowly but surely..

Yo, Rudy !!!! Q pasa bro !!!

Happy Holidays to you & family !!!

Well Im doing good, Enjoying life to the fullest, Ive been now un-employed for about 4months now just taking it easy.
Trying to finish the car and be able to go after 2 huge goals I have.

Other than that, We are doing good, got a new house, so when ever you wanna come over w/family doors are open bro.

- I really mis-them times at the tracks for real, great peoples, atmosphere and relaxing.

- Here i go to the tracks, we go to the pit area, we gotta block our car as we prep the car and if we go to the bleechers, to the pisser or maybe get a beer.
Theres always gotta be somebody near the cars. People here are ***in sneaky mudafkrs. Lots of robbery/car jackings/ and all that crazy ****...

Life here its pretty rough, but Im getting used to it....Just got to be packin some heat at all times, cause the least person you think of, gonna get you.

-- Yo Rudy, Give me a smoke............................................. .................................................. .................................................. .................................................. ........................................
.................................................. ....................... and a light.....................................ajajjaja jaj

Shoots !!!

Howzit Jose! Glad to see that you' re back at the track. I can only wish that I had enough funds to do a similar project.

I just did one of those impulse buys online and said, "f*** it" and clicked the purchase button for DSS level 5 front and rear shafts and an aluminium drive shaft. It's to complete the 6 speed, which I bought from Ryan. (There goes that new GIXXER I wanted).

What kind of fuel system do you have? Injectors, fuel rails, pump, fuel lines?

Shoots,
Chris
