Shaking

Anyone have any idea why when I get the car above 60 it starts shaking or vibrating? I thought it might be the alignment so I got one done but it is still doing it... The wheel doesnt seem to be vibrating but the car feels like its shaking apart the faster above 60 it goes. Any ideas are welcome thanks guys.

Have you had your wheels balanced?

Any recent suspension or brake work?

Sounds like your wheel balance is off.

I've got a solution for you. Just trade that thing in for a new STi.

I go with wheel balance.

My wife's Lexus IS 300 is so sensitive to wheel imbalance that every time I rotate the tires, the ones that go in front have to be rebalanced even if there needs just a little weight adjustment.

You could have warped rotors. Mine did the same thing , then I took them to get them resurfaced and no shake.

Hmmmm.....Possible reasons:

1)Too much lovin in the car......probably blew out a shock and now one tire bounces like crazy at high speeds.

2)Ran over a chicken in Kalihi and its wrap around your driveshaft.

3)God telling you to get an STI.

4)B*tch in the trunk is trying to make a brake for it.

Na, honestly.... if you already had it aligned, and the "shaking" still remains, it's probably your tire ballance or your tires have a bubble or flat spot. If not, The only other place I would look is your rotors...g/l bro

Too bad God told me to get a STI in a very bold way had to listen.... Besides I love your GC. I've always been a fan of the GC body. My dream subie is a Black 22b with a 2005 STI complete interior and motor swap with a GT35R kit and tune from PDX tuning.....

Not an actual 22b.....Just convert a USDM 2001 2.5rs into a 22b body.
