both the Do-Luck and the other one look like pretty sweet pieces. from what i can tell from visiting http://www.do-luck-usa.com the aluminum subframe and arm bar are just a touch under $500. i'd be really interested to hear from someone who installed one of these things.

I might, but
I really want to get wheels and tires first. Unfortunately that is a multi $K investment. This and the Cusco v2 brace are some things that I'm seriously looking at. I've been looking at the V2 brace for quite some time. San did that mod, didn't he? I'm curious what kind of difference he got. No promises on a time frame, but once I do it, I'll post up.
However, if people are right and this DQ's me for Auto-x I probably won't. If not SM, then what category could I run in? As far as I know, SM was the "most extreme" category.

I did the Cusco V2
with the ALK. Like most mods, you feel it at first, then you're used to it fast. Can't say which made the difference.

Found here $150 (Canadian, I think)
Looks as if the subframe stays on with this one.
As a side note, if anyone has an old FB Mazda, this kit would be awesome.

Is this direct replacement for the OEM subframe or is it an add-on to the original subframe? I bent my subframe with a jack
and may think about upgrading too. Can someone fill me in por favor!

...Works without modification to factory equipment, compatible with factory or aftermarket exhaust systems. Works with front mount intercooler kits and piping. Bolt on application, does not require drilling or altering any factory pieces. Ties 4 points together for maximum chassis rigidity. Immediately noticeable difference in cornering, acceleration and braking. Constructed of lightweight high strength steel, solid, hinge-less design to eliminate bar flex. Works with unmodified factory equipment. A chassis must for the drifter, drag racer, or road racer. Required component for high hp applications...
I know that the word on the Do-Luck is that you can remove the stock brace, and this one doesn't look like it's designed much differently. I guess it will just be a question of design and material sturdiness.
