Screw the Link, I'm going with SplitSecond!

I just got off the phone with the guys at split second and they were a HUGE help.

While the link is pretty sweet... it's also damn expensive. I'm going to have to go with the Split Second FTC1.
It has a +/- of 50% adjustability.
PLUS it comes with a 2 bar Map instead of the 1 Bar.
And I'll be able to run the bigger injectors!!
IT has timing control, 3D Mapping and all kinds of nifty stuff.

All that and it's only $529.
They said it would take them a week to assemble it for our cars, then 3 days for shipping.

www.splitsec.com

look at thier R4 Software for the features.

Lets see:
529 FTC1
359 440cc injectors
200 + boost controller
$1088

vs.

1300 Link + 359 injectors= $1659

Hey Dom, that system looks pretty cool. The price is great as well for a piggyback.

However, make sure that you can get some sort of userbase support via a public forum etc... God knows you dont want to install something you have a hard time figuring out and no one can help you.

Oh what does it mean to "assemble it for our cars?" What kind of changes to they have to make to make it work for an Impreza?

Huby,
Autronic is an excellent system, and the great thing about having an Autronic system in Hawaii is that there is lot of support for it in Hawaii. Many local tuners like Gary or Justin Izumi are very good with it and have tuned many of Hawaii's fastest cars.

They have to set it up for the applicable voltages. Also for MAF or MAP and crank and cam sensor voltages. Not all ECU's use the exact same voltages. SOme 12V and some 5V.

Question... Why not go with a Greddy E-manage? There seems to be more support with that, and even RS guys use it. I think price wise once you get the ignition harness among other things it comes out roughly the same.
