Yup Today Was Fun
Glad to hear you had a blast. Today was really fun, especially since I had some decent rubber on. Hope to see more WRX / STI / Impreza / Legacy guys out. Great showing by all drivers. Joey ran, really fricken fast, considering he was on stock tires. Yo, B, thanks for letting me test pilot your car today. Really got to feel the difference in set up and tire grip comparison running back to back on fun runs.

I see someone got the auto-x bug. Sorry I didn't get to meet you. I was the guy driving one of the numerous blue STis. Ask Avery Tsui about getting some magnetic numbers. He is on on the forumshawaii forum.

Umm well my first two runs sucked, but my second two runs where clean. I ran something barley over 70. I think it was something like 70.5?? Probably the slowest time in SM!

hahaha.
yeah, thanks to all who let me try their cars. very interesting. i think i liked larry's car the best, then pat's, gary's prelude, mini-t's 240 and then steve's s2000. in that order. the s2 was good, but the tires were too pumped up and felt old or something. not too good in the feed back department. i think mini-t's street tires felt better and could hold the little side to side motions better than the hoosiers. gotta be the hardness and steven pumping air back into the tire before i ran since he was ready to go home. it had awesome turning and gearing, which with the right tires should be really close to curtis.
turn 1 after the lights was fun with mini-t's car..... i might have done good in drift session's contest with that one..... oops.
pat's car and larry's were close, but the vagueness of pat's steering offset its better handling and grip. pat gotta adda turbo or something. that would be crazy fast with a little low end grunt. i judged it by the pull out of the crossover where the sti's had the pull. maybe with just one person in the car it might've felt better.
gary's prelude was freaking fun to drive. not enough power to get in trouble, and it was all about holding speed. i got a 60 with leslie oi and almost coming to a complete stop because i had to avoid a slightly off cone. no passenger and the cone being in the right place would've gotten a 58 at least. sick. his steering was light and awesome. maybe a little too light though.
oh yeah. good running joey!!!!!!!!!
