Safety Check

can anyone help me get a safety check? my WRX is all legal and has recon but my tint is 20%....

you are 9% away from being legal-
not sure who would fudge that...
most businesses will not risk their license for tint-

Actually I was talking to the guy when I got my saftey check and the law is that the machine is calibrated to accept + or - 10 from the legal limit of tint %. Have you tried to get one yet?

safety

havent tried yet but i need one badly... my safety is expired already...
i called this place in pearl city and they asked if my car is souped and of course i said yes. they told me my muffler cant be loud or else theyre not gonna pass me... why is this? what does the sound of the exhaust have anything to do with safety?

But Hawaii law is 35% so 20% is still not +/- 10%

Okay well I wasn't for sure what the law was, all I knew is that Greg said 9% away. Either way I PM'ed him where he needs to go.

state legal tint is 29%
tint shops use 35% film because when they apply it
to your glass it nears the states legal limit.
call reggies tinting @ 247-8468
he can probably give you more in depth details

I went with 35% also, but I hate how not dark it is. Oh and I think special t scratched my front winshield.
