Tint too dark is a $287 dollar fine btw...just thought you should know.

You cant see outside at night with dark tint....it is one of the few "actual safety" related things that is checked for during a safety inspection.

I have heard of a few people being pulled over for tint lately.

If tint is the only thing keeping you from passing, maybe remove it and then go as dark is as legal so you dont have to worry about it.

Does it have (functional) hood pins? A while back while going up the H3 a car in front of me that had a CF hood flipped up ripped off its mounts and flew through the air. I had to swerve to avoid it...

I was following a friend rather closely on the freeway in SC doing like 120-130 His pos cf hood smacked his windshield. Little peices of carbon fiber put hundreds of little pits in my windshield.

tint

well i called rads and they said every place they knew with hook ups got busted..so i made an appt to get my tint stripped and new "legal" tint put on at rads.. its pretty cheap too..shes only charging me $20 to strip the old tint and $189 for new tint..not a bad deal..never wanted to do this before cuz another tinting place told me it would cost as much to strip as it was to get new tint..and besides after what spinplay had said about the fine im all for it!

thanks for the input Spin

Tint is easy to strip. Soapy water, an hour and a razor blade. Been there, done that.

most of the time its not that easy...if u got your car tinted again, probably had all kind glue and tint and crap all over the place for the tinter. 1 blade for the whole car...not a good idea, once the blade gets nicked, you could gouge your glass. and you cant just take a razor to your back window, unless u dont want your defroster anymore
