RIP 1st Lt Roslyn Schulte, USAF

KIA May 2009

I worked with this fine officer here on Hickam AFB. To say she was classy is an UNDERSTATEMENT, methodical, fair, and easy to talk to. Oddly enough, my intel squadron doesn't have many auto fanatics and she was one of very few to talk with me about cars back when we were on night shifts together.

My fondest memory:
The first PAIS X-mas party; while all the women were showing up in their best hoochie gear she was very modest in her apparel... simple black shimmer dress covering all assets down to her knees, red lipstick, beautiful black hair pulled behind her ears and draped over her shoulders, with subtle earrings, and maybe 2" heels it looked like. Displaying the less, but looking the best IMHO.

She conducted herself in every way possible I believe in which all female officers should mold after. Down to her charisma and demeanor. Her story is in the link below. We'll miss you.

I'm sorry for your loss - The guy that sits next to me has lost 4 family members, all in Afghanistan. I hate bad news, but that's almost all I hear about anymore.

Yeah it does. I keep thinking we're going to see her come back to our squadron from the deployment.

May she rest in peace. its lovely that she left such a beautiful memory in her passing. its so sad when the good die young.

She is not the only one that passed this weekend. My hanai mother lost her battle with cancer.

All loss is hard. May she rest in peace.

maintenance, engine shop (aka: GT-2BIG turbo shop, lol) at the CMC. also not sure when they were planning on a flyby for 1st LT, I just overheard the production supervisors about prepping a jet to do it.

Seconding the "one team" notion...never easy to hear, especially as a vet...RIP...being proud of someone doesn't make the loss any less painful.
