Wink Rice .... I mean, race seat question ...

ok, I'm cheap, ... well, just broke. And I want new seats for my s13.

SO, the question is, who has seen in person or sat in the "R-1" race seats??

I can get a pair for $400 + shipping, so that's in my price range.
UNLESS of course, someone wants to 'give' me their WRX seats if they buy some others.

... or maybe I'll just save and get the Corbeau ones I want.

I sat in some Tenzo R seats and they were okay... I thought recaro's were more comfortable though. I have yet to sit in Sparco Milano's, but I would give a left nut to own one for my car.

Don't buy TeNZo R!!!

They suck bad... If you want a cheap race seat try getting a non reclinable. Sparco sprints are FIA approved and should be about 200 each, of course brakckets are about 100 or so, but quality should be good.

Problem is Tenzo's aren't all that cheap... For about 300 you Might be able to con some vendor into selling you a tenzo seat with brackets... But the seat will still be a cheap badly designed seat, covered with cheap and crappy fabric. Then you'd have to replace them. and spend more money.

THESE are the ones I was thinking about, .... but I just don't know. I tried to look up some opinions on the net, but didn't find much. The ones I read seemed to be ok.

I think maybe I should just save up and get THESE Corbeau CR1's (used to be called Carerra's). I've seen them for 850 or so a set.

which one's? the R-1's?
they come with their own brackets. It's included in the price. The brackets actually make the seat sit a little lower, which in my case, is good.
I think they look half way decent, but you never can tell until you see them in person.

I've wanted the Corbeau's for a long time, maybe I should just save for those. I think Farid can probably order them, I know the one's he had in the shop are the A4's, which aren't as nice as the CR1's.

how hard would they be to install?

who sells just one (yes im cheap who cares about the passenger anyways!) and the necessary bracket....these shold feel better than stock for spirited driving yah (02 RS)

would there be any problems using stock seatbelts?
