You get the core refund as soon as your steering rack gets to them. I don't think that it will be that difficult. Especially if 5 of us do it by the time we finish we'll be pro's.

I'm

thinking the same about the install, but how much is it up front before they get my core? I need to know if I can swing it by the end of January. I've ordered a lot of stuff in the past two weeks. Thanks.

I have a couple of questions regarding this Rev-Lab Quick Steering Rack...

1. Exactly how many people do we need to get a discount price and how much is the discount going to be?

2. Are we planning to shipped the old steering rack in a set of 3,4 or 5, to save ourselves money and how much is shipping going too be to send it back?

3. If we attempt to do it ourselves, does it come with instructions? Has anyone attempted this install? If so, would they recommend it or would it be better off paying someone? What is the downtime on this install? For some of us, we drive our cars daily to commute to work, school, etc. so, if this install takes two days we might have some problems.

Thanks

I might be interested, as one of the things that really bugs me about the Legacy is the "slow" steering. I was actually surprised to find out the 2.5GT rack has the same ratio as the 2.5RS and WRX, I figured it would be slower since it's a "family sedan". I'd probably go for the 12.5:1 if I was going to do this.
