Removing lateral movement from shifter when in gear?
Is there away to remove the lateral left to right movement from my STI shifter when in gear?
I've already installed the following:
KB Shifter Bushings
KB Rear Shifter Bushing
TiC Pivot Bushings
In any gear that I put the shifter into the lateral movement from left to right is at least 1.5" to 2".

yeah.. I've already got their Pivot bushings and they did increase the sharpness of the shift but the lateral movement is still there. I don't think that blake knew about the these bushings posted above since these are only for STI's and people that have 6 speeds
Jon
I'm going to order them and see how they are. I'm having them put together a bundle for me for the other items in my driveline that I haven't upgraded yet.
TIC Linkage Bushings
TIC Klunk Killer
KB X Member Bushings
I dunno about the anti-life kit that they have since it's the "comfort" verision. What's the difference between the comfort one and the track one?

I've already ordered the klunk killer as well as an STi transmission mount (It's less compliant than the standard ones) last week. This should kill some driveline play.

Well I just installed the following:
TiC STI Linkage Bushings
KB Trans X-Member Bushings
KB Rear X-Member Bushings
I must say that after doing the Linkage bushings that my lateral movement is almost completely gone. Of course you have to torque them down tighter than factory spec (as stated on the install area on TiC's website) Shifting feels a lot more positive and now that I've installed the X-Member bushings I can feel the rear end a lot. All claims that people made about these things are true
Regarding the Linkage Bushings... They are a PITA especially when trying to put back in the spring pin back into the linkage fork!
I recommend removing the bracket that holds the shifter bushing (KB) and you'll have a better shot getting it back in.
Jon
I've also got the KB Rear Diff Bushings that I've gotta install still. I'll save those for another day

I didn't go into work today. I'll be calling the guy up that's parting out the car. Call me if you're not doing anything and we can meet up. I'll be adjusting my belt tension today in a bit.

when I can. I don't work for Fuji Film anymore so I'm pretty busy. Why don't you come out to one of the meets and you can feel the difference.
