RECON Alignment
OK so I called firestone (twice...talked to different dudes/diff locations) they don't do alignments for RECON.
Where did ya'll get yours done at? For RECON.
Contact numbers would be very helpful as well.

I think you can do just a regular alignment for your car.. and when you show up at the Recon station, you just show that your car has been "aligned" within the 30 days?
Can someone confirm on that? not too sure.

^^^For RECON you have to bring the numbers from before and after alignment...that's all I know.
The RECON lady said to specifically tell the alignment dudes that you need to do an alignment for RECON.

now this is getting ridiculous...
well if you go to island brake and alignment accross the street from waimalu shopping center they will give you the alignment paper work.
don't know if that has to do with RECON?
this is the first time that I've ever heard of someone needing anything for an alignment for RECON.
it should be none of their business what type of alignment you have. if you see half the cars on the road they don't have any type of alignment so how can RECON.
besides the only way that the RECON station can tell what your ACTUAL alignment is if they put your car on an alignment machine.
I would just ask an alignment shop if they could give you a paper that says the stock alignment values

Blake, I have taken my car here several times during my spring and coilover experimentation...
1124 Kona St.
Honolulu, Hawaii 96814
591-6672
They are located right next to Mckinley Car Wash...
Cost $89.95 Plus tax...
They give you a sheet with the specs (tell them to put as much negative camber on within specs)...if you want your car to handle...as long as your car is in spec...you will have no problem with Recon...
Good Luck.

Hmm, I went there also. A friend referred me. The guy's not a young buck, so no need to worry about your car being screwed around with.
They may not have a Hunter super duper laser alignment machine, but they're good for it.

Even Sears will give you a printout showing before and after numbers. Your final numbers just need to be "in spec" per the printout - or at least, that's my understanding. I think I've read somewhere that the numbers can be within +/- 1deg of the "stock" specs, but looking at the rules online ( http://www.state.hi.us/dot/highways/...s/134-B1&2.pdf ) I don't see anything that actually says that.

If your car is lwoered, to meet RECON standards, you have to have an alignment. It's not anything special but a regular alignment. THey just want to see that the car is within factory specifications. I had to go through this with my RS, and since the ditch incident, my alignment was never right...so a friend who had his car aligned a few days earlier gave me his sheet...and since it was the same kind of car, it passed...
