I need to have my tranny gears changed but dont want to got to subaru because sub-sonic is not there so does any one have any suggestions? LMK. By the way how hard is it to actually do this at home? Just wondering.

 

I'd trust anyone on island except sub-sonic. If I were doing the gear swap, I'd probably go with RalliSpec or someone who has done plenty of these. The biggest reason is I'd want any worn/suspect parts replaced.

I purchased a VI gear set, bearings and sycros (havent gotten the syncros yet) so it will be a full swap I wont be using any of the stock stuff except the case.

 

Do it your self...Will you have another car to drive because I'd be willing to help every chance I can. Once the tranny is out I bet we could have it done in a weekend.

 

The thing is that I live in an apartment and I cant work on my car here and on the other hand I dont wanna inconvience anyone by having to leave my car at there place if we dont finish. I dont have another car but I can get around with out mines for the time that it would be out. I need to get in touch with MildSeven.

 

taking my car to a body shop Monday (10th) for some painting and it will be there at least 4 days, possibly longer. I too wouldn't mind the experience as this may be a mod I'm interested in.

you could try pearl harbor trans... that's where i got my TC installed... they are pretty reasonably price as well.
