I want to recommend a couple of things to Alex.

1) My work is blocking i-club all of the sudden. Is there a way for him to have an alternate address for this site? (What is the blocking software picking up on in order to block it? I can get to other forums alright.) Is there already an alternate address?

2) Bring back the 'go to last post' button on the HIIC page, instead of having to click twice to get to the bottom. I know I'm whining, but I hate the clicky-clicky.

We had to add a ton of domains that were being blocked at the hospital. They could have any number of packaged there that are blocking it, but just talk to the network guys there. We had a generic list populated from our vendor that would just block sites "they" thought werent work related. Fortunately I had access since it was all software I ordered and implemented.

I actually liked the go to newest message button. Thats no longer an option right? Whenever I dont have an email sent to me and I wanna check out a lengthy post its a pain to figure out where I left off. (my whining)

the administrators that run the schofield barracks server blocked i-club a couple weeks ago. I think its because of me and a few other subie owners on schofield. What sucks is that i'm the administrator for the battalions computers and i cant do anything about it.

So there was a deliberate block of i-club? That sucks. No real other way around it aside from alex registering another address or something that would redirect, well no even a redirect would get stopped. Hmm... Cant think of any way around it unfortunately not unless someone could have a page that would pull up i-club in another window or something. Lemme think about it. Any link or redirect to i-club would get blocked... Have to email me network guys I worked with and see if they have any ideas.

I don't think anonymizer.com is around anymore, but wouldn't that have worked?

Yeah, my guess would be that i-club was singled out. I can get on all other subaru forums and webpages no problem.

Set up a terminal services on a Win2k computer that you can VPN to. Connect, start the terminal services client and surf through the computer outside the boundaries of the LAN.

You can use VNC as well without the VPN if the ports on your gateway router aren't shut down.

Is he behind a router? You need to forward TCP port 5800 & 5900.
