recent "move" of posts~
1st off- i don't wanna be a ****- (for the old schoolers you know that i was at one time...put on timeout)
2nd- if anyone has beef with someone- handle it in PM's - if you want to publicly embarrass or humiliate them, or post up INTENTIONS of property(vehicle) damage or possible harm to any particular person---- then keep in mind that we do look at the posts and in some cases temporarily move or lock em up all together...
3rd- if there is a road rage/racing type on incident on the road- call the police- especially if you feel that strongly about it.
4th- i'm all about people "owning up" to their actions, but i still feel a face to face or PM communication is proper- if for some reason that does not suffice then other actions will be enforced.
5th- if anyone has any gripes with my latest actions- POST UP. your gripes will be noted.
jon, i know where you are coming from(in regards to family) but the decision to move that thread was not only my decision.. it was a collaboration....

If there is a cop in the area that is very close and they catch up to them they'll pull them over right then and there. of course they don't come out immidately though so it's good to have an accurate license plate number of all the cars that were involved.
I know that when I got hit on the freeway (hit and run) by an idiot trying to cause trouble I gave them a license plate number and a description of the vehicle they told me to go somewhere a police officer can meet me to get a report. they then went to the persons residence a few times to see if they can get them but after a few tries they had to let insurance take care of it.
it does make things more complicated for the police but it's one way to keep racing off the streets!

I personally called the police 3 times on people, or groups of people trying to street race me. Not one time did the police respond and I gave them as much informations as I could. The last time I called 911, which to me it is an emergency because they were well on their way to killing someone, anyway the dumb biotch who answered my call told me that there was no Likelike exit off of the H3 heading from town to Kaneohe. She wouldn't do anything else to help me because, "I didn't know where I was." She said something dumb like, "Haole, I've be livin' hera all my lifa, and you don't know where ya are!" I called here a **** or something and hung up. I will throw a brick or a liter of cola cup filled with **** into a car. I'm going to teach these people a lesson one way or another.

I don't think throwing anything at their car is the corret thing to do. The best and mature thing would be to just ignore them and yes I know it is REALLY hard to do and I am not going to sit here and say I have never messed around on the road I have. But I try to just ignore them and go about my business. The only time I have been in the triple digits was back in Washington up around Mt Rainer on my motorcycle and there were no cars around..Still don't make it right. And the increase in Subies associated with street racing goes back to a post I made a while back about Subaru's becoming the next Honda..Reason I am getting rid of mine.

^^ the older the WRX gets(dropping in value)... the more accessible it will be to the typical "honda buyer" the only real dramatic difference is that Subaru will NEVER match honda in terms of overall sheer numbers of cars on island. thats just due to the nature of the price and Subaru's current philosophy in car production(more interested in higher line, quality than quantity) so you will never see Subaru "conquer" the world like how nissan did last year with 1 million cars sold in the u.s. -
but with the 1st part mentioned--jeremiah is right in one respect.....
i agree with the "letting go" concept- but thats not fair because thats what i try to do in my personal life as well as ministry-- y'know "turn the other cheek" - but we're all human.....
like i said before i'm all for vindication(as a last resort) or some form of community action(and responsibility) in order to maintain our chapter of i-club's integrity
- especially if it means the public will identify us with street racing because of a sticker-
i really hate to be the morality police on this board, and i hope i'm not- if anyone disagree's with my judgement i welcome criticism in all forms-
<ok end of lecture>

Yes, the older and cheaper the WRX gets the more accessible it is to the typical ricer. So in that regard, Subarus are moving towards Honda.
However, I don't think ricers really like non-inline 4 cyl. motors, as well as the looks of the "bug-eye". I see more ricers (when they get money) wanting to get an Evo. So in this regard Subaru will never be the next Honda. Good lord.
