The highway saftey people have a good site on crash tests and damage results.

This article in particular just shows how those "tough" SUV's are anything but. SEVERE DAMAGE FROM A 5MPH BUMP?? Cheap cheap cheap plastic suv's.

I can walk 5MPH into a wall without damage, but a $50k+ SUV can't.
