Cool Rally Canada, Eh?

Well my adventurous spirit took me and my family to the Canadian rockies. As some of you may know, I love hiking, mountain biking and just enjoying nature. We went around British Columbia and Alberta provinces and visited the beautiful cities and towns of Edmonton, Calgary, Banff, Canmore, Kananaskis, Radium, Windimere among others.
But one of the highlights of our vacation is when we attended the Canadian Rally Championship time trial in Kananaskis. Herewith is a raw vid that we took of the highlights of the event that I want to share with you rally fanatics. This is what we are missing in Hawaii.

I was also lucky enough to drive in the rally circuit itself with a very modified sti...:happy. And yes, I will be posting more pics and vids later when we get back to the islands this weekend.

Here is the professional vid taken by the organizers of the CRC 2009. Pretty much showing the day one and day two of the event. We only attended day 2. Sorry but these are fairly long vids. Enjoy!

Eh?

Hey, Norman from CRC and CRS is one of the guys who helped us out during his trip here.
Super cool guy. He helped out with course designs and tested the surfaces out for us : )
They even gave us their timing programs for free. Really nice guys.

I'm jealous. Can't wait to see more pics.

Ted, I assume that you had your passports with you when crossing over the border! I know from experience, forgot my passport and and had to turn back to get it so all that driving was for nothing. Make sure your kids wasnt/isnt drinking since the legal age is 12. Great footage of the rally. Hopefully, some of the HIIC peeps can get together and fly up to one of these rally functions to get see live in action.

dude, believe me, your coilovers will mean nothing once you attend a rally event. there are no words to describe what eating dust, dirt, and rocks thrown at you by these rally cars. there's one happening this fall in Merrit, British Columbia. Just go to the CRC site.

yup, you will be needing passports to go to Canada. the last time we were there, we only had to show our driver's license, but now it's different. HIIC cruise to Canada? sure, why not!

hey joey,
yeah, the Skyline is not too bad

sorry, i forgot to mention that my brother lives in Calgary and owns a GT3076R STI tuned and built by Rocket Rally racing. The tuner is no other than Patrick Richard. He was the driver of the blue 08 sti shown on the vids.

yup, the one in Merrit was postponed. it was originally scheduled on 6/12 and we were planning to drive there but it got moved indefinitely due to fire hazard conditions.
