thanks for the input everyone, definitely made it easier for me to order.
I'll try make it to the meats, but kinda shame cuz I've been irritating so many members with my silly threads.

Just kidding. It's best to come out to the meets, not only to meet your fellow HIIC members, but you can also ask questions first hand. Everybody was the new kid on the block at one point in time. You'll never meet anybody by sitting behind the computer and typing.

^^^ w3RD... Steak dude, seriously though... The first few meets will always be awkward be if you frequent alot, dont take things personally, don't be a tool, then its like another set of friends. Trust me, I have met some real cool peeps and consider some real "good friends". HIIC local chapter isnt as bad as you may make it out to be.. If anything, HIIC local chapter is a weed and seed community.

How it should be easily installed (notice the 90 degrees indent marked in red):

How my car is, no indent :-(

Back View (Green is where I had the clip on)

What to do? Help?

looks like plastic... you could just use some scissors or you could use a pair of diagonal cutters to cut the plastic to make it look like the one in the picture. are you sure you purchased the right one or does the directions say you have to cut it as shown?
did you buy the Impreza / WRX ones or did you buy the STI ones?

I'm watching the video now and it appears as though they may have removed the rear splash guard BEFORE the installation of these.
notice in the screen shot I took how there is no plastic covering. This is the video I'm watching: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cwfhOJN93LY
I haven't seen an 08 undercarriage yet so I couldn't tell you if it was supposed to be there or not.
