damn.. just did the numbers... 8:1 weight to power ratio STOCK (advertised)...
I'm @ 8.55:1 (estimated)... I'm thinking I know better than to mess with one. And that's just based on numbers.

If I see a stock or modded one, I'll give it the same respect I give M5's, Turbo Porshes, etc.... lol
M3: 8.82:1
M5: 8.02:1
Porsche 911 Turbo: 7.29:1

Stock 06 STI: 11.16:1

They say.. know your opponent...
I say...
Know the numbers... make a judgement call. :P

I know numbers aren't everything, but it's a pretty good place to start.

Anybody know if they're on "display" at any of the dealerships? I wanna see it in person up close, I've heard it looks better in person.

The guy was probably showing off his new ride, unless he really lives in Ewa, but I did see a black R35 heading out of Ewa on Fort Weaver Road..

Kewl.

When I saw the title to this thread, I wondered if they called the new GT-R an R35, since the successor to the R34 actually was the (in the US) Infinity G35. It turns out the Infinity is a V35 (and now they're up to V36) and the GT-R IS an R35.... weird.

......Just in case anybody cared...

I don't think most of us are confused with the R35. The G35 is a SKYLINE GT, not a GT-R nor a R35.

And the

C63 AMG($53k) sleeper is

7.9:1 lb:hp

It does look much better in person. I remember my cousin's only complaint is that it doesn't feel like a supercar for its speed and it didn't come with painted front lip(white car, black lip) when he picked his a few months ago in HK.

I get confused easily. The old Skyline GT was an R34 and the one before that was an R33 (the difference was always BNR## vice HR## or ER##, etc... between the different performance levels, but ALL the Skylines were "R"s in some way or another), so I figured the next one would've followed suit, but it didn't. I realize this isn't important to most people, but I like to know the details, and sometimes share them...
The sites I posted have a lot of good basic info on all the cars.
