Question about car covering in the street?
I was wondering if it's illegal to cover your car out on the street?
I'm asking this cause I'm not sure if your car can't be covered so the police don't find it suspicious.
If it's legal do you have to not cover the license plate?
Thanks.

I'm not sure about the legality of it but it would just make it easier for them to determine if you left your car in the same spot for more than 24 hrs. Then they can ticket you for abandonment. My coworker's currently in a street parking war with his neighbor and was reported for it. He lives in town.

car covers creep me out, esp on the street. I fear something getting suck between the cover and the car. Wind comes and next thing you know I got mad scratches from the object being trapped by the rippling cover. Another thing that scares me are criminals. It makes it easier for criminals to jack your car. get under he cover, get in your car, and they have all the time in the world to search and steal. Having your car open to plain view where everyone can see what's going on is better inho. The only time I would ever use a car cover is when going on deployment, parked in a garage. to protect if from kids playing with toys or movement in the garage.
