I have a B&M BUT it came with the car so I can't really compare it to anything. The throw seems sort of long for a short shifter in comparison to my previous cars. I personally will be changing it out soon for a cobb or kartboy.

Rich,
you could also look into a Cobb or Subydude SS.
there are other companies that make them but i think that only the four including KB & B&M are the best ones made. others like perrin...etc. don't really research things to much and just make replicas. B&M SS are pretty good for other cars like 240's but I dunno about for WRX. The B&M SS for the 240 is awesome since the transmission has NO linkage the throw after upgrading the shifter is VERY TIGHT!

Update after I went out and felt the B&M again. It is a pretty short throw when I was going through the gears in the parking lot, it feels longer when you are actually driving though.

yeah i have a cobb and it's ok. i had the KB b4 that and i don't really notice much of a difference. the only advantage to the cobb is it is "somewhat" adjustable. so if you like it a likke lower or higher you can adjust it. gl with the choice, L8R
