hey, .... I "heard" that Farid's G35 is going to be compared against the new Z06 at Willow Springs next weekend!! (amongst some other cars too).

It will be interesting to see how everything turns out!! Farid's car is badass, has more HP/TQ than the Z06, .... but we'll have to wait and see how it does. Kinda exciting!

Farid's G, ... but without his badass new Advan's on:

i already plan to dyno mine after the 1000mile break in, and with fresh oil

sean, that'd be killer to see what farid's G is gonna do against the Z06...

I didn't ever read that thoroughly. I just thought it was pretty cool to see some real-world data.

A guy on another forum I frequent just had his dyno'd today at LG Motorsports - 447rwhp, 399rwtq stock. He was posting his results from the shop, said he would have the post-header install results up later.

Here's the same car that was posted above (the one dyno'd at 50mi) then dyno'd later in the day with the LGM headers installed:

Pretty sick.

What has he done to his G35 that makes it special? Even if it's got more HP/TQ than the Z06 I would have to think that the Z06 will make it look stupid on a road course. Is this comparison for a magazine shootout or something like that?

yeah, it's a comparison R&T is doing. Farid's G is not even close to being a "bolt-on" affair. Honestly, it is Built, ... that's the short and sweet of it. (full cage, brakes, suspension, motor, etc, etc, etc, custom, custom). When set up for a road course, it should fair quite well. Don't cut the G/Z's too short, ... when tuned (and I mean motor/suspension/etc), they are a contender. We'll see though ...
