Cool Port & Polish...?

anyone know of any places on Oahu that can port and polish heads? im preparing to build the spare set of heads that i have and a P&P is the only thing i cant find... got any suggestions of places that do a good job and actually know wtf they are doin...??

are you sure you want to polish? I used to have polish stuff and it is pita to maintain... especially living close to the sea.

i think he means polish the insides of what he is porting. basically smoothing out all the rough areas.

^^ well yea i know but why wouldn't i wanna do that?? the 'living near the sea' aspect shouldnt play too big a role bc the heads are aluminum am i right?

KrIsToY, no info. You need to look them up.

HxllxMan is referring to corrosion due to salt generated by our pacific surroundings. Us jet guys in the Air Guard encounter that on a monthly basis on our engines but shouldn't be a problem with our car motors. So don't get freaked out about it. You can DIY it with a Dremel if you have very steady hand OR you can bring it to someone qualified with the right tools. I think you can Google them up or do it the old fashioned way and search the white or yellow pages.

ted's machine shop ay? they do pretty good work? and affordable? lol...

lol nah im not too much of a 'bling bling' kinda guy... but its all good!

yea, they do good work. i know a few people who went there to get their motors done. they also do rims.
