The Playa's & The Game!!!
I was looking through the results for this season's autocross!!
I'm only going over the class Joey & I run in to see where we stand in points.
I always try to get people to come out and race with us,to generate a little more interest in it I'm going to give a rundown of what's going on this season!!
The results surprised me a bit!!!
We get points for where we place each race.
10 pts.for 1st place & -1 each place below.
1st=10
2nd=9 etc.

My very first autocross ever, he was my instructor. I completely spun out my Miata and he says "so what did we learn?" "too much throttle". I don't have that problem any more. Quite the opposite in fact...

As you can see,it's pretty close as we head into the last 5 races!!!
We all qualify for the championship runoff to be held in March.
This is gonna be a head to head race for 2008's solo 2 champion in E Modified!!
I will try to keep you guys posted,but you should come out to the next race to be held 11/02 to witness the drama first hand!!
By the way,there's quite a few I-Club racers who do well in their own classes,you don't have to race in E Modified.
We can find a class for you to be in,where you may be competitive,or you could just do it to improve your driving skills!!
I truly believe autocrossing can help you in your everyday driving.
Hope to see some new racers out next month!!!

So now with the new venue, do you guys do crossovers, showcase corners, etc?
We have a crossover pretty much every event and I always get lost coming out of it.
We had test and tune the other day and I got a lot of practice and decided to set my tire pressures at Front 44 and Rear 38...makes the wagon rotate really well without having to tap the brakes.

Our courses average about 30 sec. a run,which sucks!!
You'd think with such short courses,we wouldn't get lost,but a sea of cones is still a sea of cones!!!

I've been to 3 solo events so far & it's a blast. My times suck, but I'm not really focusing on that right now. Just trying to improve my driving skills & see what my car is capable of doing. AND not trying to get any more DNF's!!!
I've never been to one, but I did register for the Test & Tune in January. From what I hear, that's a perfect time/venue for new racers to make their debut.
Francis or Joey, I'd really like to see one or both of you drive my car & tell me what you think. I want to see what my car is capable of, even though I'm light years away from realizing that full potential.
The scary part is, if I do an STI swap... I'll be moving over to EM. Crap!

I love auto-x. I've tried becoming a scca member in the last week but it hasn't been working for some reason. I'm still learning my car myself but I don't really care to be competitive in my class, more with friends.
