So w/ forged pistons they require a longer warm up time right so that they can expand right?? i remember this video of a guy w/ forged pistons andwhen he started the car it was the first time i heard piston slap before he reved it a couple of time and then it sounded like a regular subaru motor after.
So who makes those pistons, how much and what will your compression ratio be w/ the combo you be using on your motor?

These are CP's. Supposed to be very near OEM except for the dish. It's supposed to be 8.2:1, IIRC.
I got them from Quirt. Don't remember how much but it wasn't bad.

If you wouldn't mind pat could you tell me how to put piston rings on those things

Nah, I did a search on the internet last night. Best thing I can tell is that you put one end in between the ringlands and then spin it on.

Come to think of it, other than your trans, we have near identical engine mods up until now.
Bro, I found an online vendor that sells a GT42R for under $1,700. Let's do this!
I still haven't had the chance to drop by the MWR, but I told Ed about the idea and we're both anxious to talk to the right person (I talked to some of the Staff officers about the idea and one had a negative feed back and said, "You need to keep your head in the game.")
I did talk to one Major who was interested. He was happy to tell us his glory days when he raced in the early to mid 80's with Toyota's and VW's. I'm going to ask if he could help us out.
Did you buy rings yet? Turbometrics sell CP rings for $80, if you haven't bought any yet.

Yea Pat just go to Sears and buy the tool Ryan is talking it is really easy and what ever you do make sure the rings are not lined up I think you know what I mean. And Mario when your ready and get the tool and I'll help you ring the pistons it's easy and I'll be off all next week if you wanna stop by with the block so we can hone out the cylinders.
