The Lotus crashed in the first heat. It was sitting next to the tent the entire day. It snaged the rumble strip next to the gate house with its skidplate, and spun into the guard rail.
It's pretty hard on your entire car, especially tires and brakes.

Of course, telling someone who's never been on track before not to overdrive the car is like telling a crack addict to just do a little bit of crack.

Yep it is hard not to overdrive your tires. Pat definitley has good skill to beable to do that on RE92's. I destroyed 1 set of crap Eagle F1-DS tires, but with KDW's I have lasted several AutoX's and at least 1 track even plus over 10,000 miles and amazingly my tires are still in good shape. Maybe my skill has improved, but I doubt it. As far as brakes go, I cooked my fluid the first time, and I would recommend getting some SS lines, and good fluid at least. I would upgrade your pads if you have the cash to.
