Performance parts buying

Any places to recommend, either local or good deals on shipping. Looking to get some new rotors for the STi.

Ask shaggy or try Boston motorsports on mnemonic nasioc. That's where I got my dba5000's.

I got my STi rotors for my WRX brake swap from KNS Brakes. If you do decide to go thru them, call them for a shipping quote. It will be a big difference in comparison to the shipping quote online.

Actually yeah KNS is who I was talking to. But still always like doing local first....good way to network and get that instant parts high. lol Just don't know the local shops... Does Shaggy have access to other than OEM parts tho? I will give the other shops a PM. Thanks!

Shaggy is good. Amazon, TIC, KNS, SubaruGenuineparts are all good for online.

Shaggy can order the parts and you just give him the money? Is that how it works?

I agree with supporting local, but the locals make it hard when they don't have any kind of inventory. I am more than capable of ordering my own parts if that's all they are going to do. But then again, I am SUPER impatient so having to go thru multiple people just to get something isn't kosher for me.

So for OEM parts, do you guys suggest just going to the dealer or genuine subaru parts?

That's up to. If you're all about saving money, you'd be better off getting a quote from the dealer (don't forgot to ask for the iclub discount) and then check sgp and see if they're cheaper with shipping.

Best place for OEM parts is Gillman Subaru... They not only offer free shipping on just about everything... they have a 10% price beat guarantee.

Talk to Logan John's in the parts department for a 5% off total order coupon code too!
