PDX Tune - March 2011
The new EFR t4 turbos have new IWG which would make install a cake and would perform as well as an EWG--just extend the up pipe a bit with an extension, weld in a t3 or t4 flange, and fab new downpipe. I'm working on making an adapter, like the turboxs unit, to add this turbo to an existing stock up pipe.

You should hold out and wait till the new EFR stock location turbos are released. They're coming out with stock location and new line of T3 and T4 turbos that look promising.

I never got to see the stickers. Let's meet up soon and talk about it.
Brandon is no longer with us.
Thanks, Walt!

^^^Stets....
Like others, I've experienced several turbo's...I had an 04 STI with similar mods as yours...with a Forced Performance TD06-18g...I currently have this in my 06 WRX as well...I like it...fast spool up with more top end than the stock VF-39...fun turbo...
I also had a 05 STI with a Forced Performance Red turbo...I really like this turbo as well...spool up was smooth. controlled and I really didn't experience any of the lag that people often attribute to this turbo...mainly due to Jarrad's tune and the 2.5l engine...
I use to be more of a 0-60 kind of guy (18g) but since owning the Red, I prefer the smoother high end feel of the bigger turbos...which is why, due to budgetary reasons, I will most likely upgrade to an FP Green prior to this next tune.
The FP green with my mods will get me around 350hp/380ftlbs with little lag and a nice top end...
If I stick with the 18g, I'll probably be in the 330hp/360ftlbs range.
Best thing to do is to request rides at one of the meets...people here are cool.
