Yeah, i assumed I had the most update firmware since I JUST bought the cobb ap, but I was wrong. Did the update and loaded Jarrad's tune no prob> So Im set for the tune. Just waiting for Dan to hit me back on the confirmation of my appointment time. I think when they removed the tumor in hed they took some of my brain cuz I cant remeber dates, numbers, or anything statistical with numbers.......ugh

 

btw I am bringing a sweet treat, Pumkin crunch (hoemade). and some used parts I will be selling to offset the cost of my tune..I have Sti pink inj, heat shield, turbo blanket, 35 series battery, oem turbo coolant reservoir.

 

Anyone ever worked with Jarrad before? Had a REAL tune before, that can post a "To-Do" list before a tune?

So far, I have:
Updated firmware on Cobb
checked all fluids
I will be running the old gas out (from sitting in the shop for 5 months doing nothing)
I have reflashed the ecu with Jarrad's start map
ensured proper tire pressure
Ziptied/clamped/secured any and all vacuum lines to ensure proper vacuum
made sure my battery is good

Thats all I can think of right now.

 

well, as some of you know, my suby bit the dust on the dyno. Its now for sale. $4k cash for any i-club member. As some on here can vouche the car started smoking real bad, didnt make any noises and still starts and idles. so prolly blow ring or seal somewhere. Id like to sale it fast so I can get a down payment for my next car. I will be at rads , WITH THE TITLE, at 9am monday morning. comeout with your money. how long does the tuner spend with each car? I'm looking to get at least 2 hours with a tuner when i pro tune mine.

 

it all depends on how your car performs (issues, time to cool, etc.), type of tune (aggression, safety, powerband placemet,etc.), tune will be to standard, not time. Jar knows his stuff and finishes before your window is up unless issues arise with your car or you change your mind about what kind of tune you want. I want to say the time blocks are 1.5hrs long (i maybe wrong). if you must have two hours loosen a few hoses?
