Pat, I for one am breathlessly awaiting...

...news of your 6-speed swap! How is it going? Is it done? How does it drive?!?!

(Note: I'm not asking for technical information, just local news)

yo,

saw his car on the rack yesterday at waipahu schumann. everything looked in place except for the linkage but pat just called me and said it came in the mail today along with the ring and pinion.

he was on his way to waipahu when i spoke to him so hopefully his car will be ready today. i know he's anxious!

No ring & pinion. Hopefully tomorrow.

I did get to see Ed's shaft. Looks like you're getting a new 4th? gear. Man, they have a nice tool down there for pulling gears off of the main shaft.

Ed says the transmission fits into the car easier than the stock one.

Which gear oil do I need to take down there?

$3300 for the tranny, driveshaft, shifter & linkage...and shipping.

$4xx.00 for the ring & pinion.

$200 for the labor. (Ed says it goes really quickly)

$25 for the shifter trim (once I'm able to make some time to link-up with Andrew.)

Oh, did I mention for the 2 tows?

With suretrac, but I'm not upgrading the rear right yet. Do you think I'm making a mistake with the rear?

Smooth.

It's nice have a smooth clutch, too. I don't know if that means that it's worn out, already, but there's no shudder anymore.

I should be free to give folks a ride this weekend.

It's a little ghetto right now because the top of the shifter is threaded and I don't know if I want to put my old momo shift **** back on. Plus, I need to get the boot over the lockout.
