Painting calipers?

Ive been reading threads on other forums and people who paint their calipers have done this method,...

They would spray the caliper paint (which has higher temp resistance) into a cup and use a brush or foam applicator and painted it on,...

I guess one could spray paint the caliper, but this would mean taking off the caliper, pads, and possibly the brake hose too if you'd want to avoid overspray,..

Which is the best and most proven method??

i sparyed the paint into a cup and painted it on with a brush. i cleaned the caliper first with a wire brush and brake clean, then masked off the area i didn't want painted. and just paint it on with a brush. sorry imma try look for a pic for yeah to show how it came out.

If you spray the paint into a FOAM cup the paint will "melt" the cup. I would just take it off the car if you want the job done right!

I took my calipers off to spray paint them. To me, probably the best way to get the best paint coverage.

i would wait till your gonna put in new pads or ss lines so you don't waste time taking them off just to paint them. kill two birds ya know. if you wanted to use a brush you can just spray the paint into the cap. thats what i did when i used to do models and it works pretty well. just make sure to mix it good and let it sit for a few sec. if your gonna spray it then just like jon said take it off.
