paint matching for skirts & scoop/shopping update
Went to
NORMANS FENDER SHOP
415 Kilani Ave # A
Wahiawa HI 96786
(808) 621-2533
Was quoted $200.
I took my stuff off and took it too him. That way he could paint match off of the old scoop, but he said that it might need to be blended in, based off of the hood itself. So I guess the original hood scoop isn't really good enough (unless you're me, then it really doesn't matter
)
Also, as a note, don't be a big friggin' dunce like me. When I was washing my skirts, I did it on the sidewalk in front of my car. Just take a good guess what happened. Oh yeah. Little pebble scratches. Again, if you knew me, you'd know I don't really care but what does bother me is that it didn't have to happen if I just woulda took a minute to think about what I was doing.
Anyone think I should try somewhere else? I will go to Honolulu, but would rather not because it can be such a pain. I'm looking at Mililani or Waipahu.
Here's what I found for Waipahu:

Cool you did a lot of work for me on where to call for my Dads car to get it repainted where he mangled it. Thanks!
Of course no clue which are reputable or recommended, but certainly enough places to start calling.

I have a friend of a friend
who is going to do my bumper and fog light covers for $150. That's prep, paint, and clearcoat. I can check if you're interested.

Definitely. One thing, though. My wife's getting back to the island next Tues, so I'd like to get it done by then.

about the skirts and all
See if you can get a group discount... I bet there are a lot of people who are usually too lazy (like myself) to get their skirts done. However, if they (we) could get a deal, then they (I) might go for it. I need my skirts painted anyway... starched and pressed, too.

Was quoted $350 from the place behind Schuman and $250 from Theo Davies. Meant to go to Tony Group and Earl Scheib, but gave up.
$200 has it until San can see if his guy can beat it.
