Angry paint blister

just got my 04 wrx in july and i noticed in 5 different spots the java black paint is blistering. its about the size of a small grain of rice. ive read about the paint chipping easily but blistering on its own seems kind of like a crap paint job. anyways im taking it to the dealership tomorrow afternoon. hope its covered by warrenty. Anyone else with a black suby got this problem.peace.

If it wasn't caused by an outside agent I'm sure it will be covered by warranty. BOGUS. Do you have pics?

The problem with that

is Schuman will fix it, but my experience with their painting abilities was a disaster. It literally looked like my car had been washed with sandpaper. Took it back numerous times, got Mr Schuman involved, and finally decided that my car was as close to being fixed as they were able. Not a place I would return to.

if i do decide to take it to another paint shop will they cover it? cause i want my car to be a show car and i cant have it looking like it got washed by sandpaper. The blisters are hardly noticable. Only when you look really close then you can see it. Im very detailed of my cars thats how i noticed them.

No, I don't think they will.

They want to take care of the problem "in house", it saves them money. After two attempts at taking care of me, I took Mr. Schuman out to look at the "progress". I let him know I didn't think his shop had the skills to make my car look like it did when I left it with them. I wanted to take my car to another body shop and have them pick up the tab. Didn't happen. I had some scratches in my rear bumper, that's all they had to fix. But they jacked up my entire car. Sorry I can't give you any better news.

You can't get a real show car finish with a factory paint job anyway.
You need to have Custom Rod Shop paint it if you want show quality. Anything else is just factory.
