OT:My new TV

Got her about a 4 days ago.....Sony 55" LCD. HDTV looks great, PS2 looks okay, and Standard cable looks not too bad.

nice.. its normal for normal tv cable to look crappier as u put it on a bigger screen. its just like trying to enlarge a small pic.

Island....no VGA input

the samsung DLP I exchanged for the sony had a VGA input...but due to the fact that I saw so many "rainbows" I couldn't stand it. The sony does have 2 HDMI ports that may work though. Raudi, the PS2 is hooked up through standard RCA cables, I'm not sure PS2 supports HD. They do have a S-video cable though it's not HD.

PS2 has the component output (Cr/Yr/Yb) where they split the video output to three separate channel rather than just one (yellow on the standard cable) for much better video output. Steve, maybe you should look into that but maybe they'll come up w/ the HDMI cable for PS2 (possible PS3) soon... so... heh.
