Opinions on my possible new DD?
http://www.toyota.com/yaris/
I want the sedan, but will need to park it on the street. I like the new body style, but since it will be on the street, i could actually take a used one.
Opnions on this? TIA

I'd like to get a DD also, but don't have another stall to park it in. I wanted to pick up another S13 fastback. Only problem is that I'd be too tempted to mess with that thing. They're not the most comfortable rides, but my drive is short, and I love the way they look.
Chris!
So this is a DD for you? What'd you go full race with the wagon already?!
I know I owe you a phone call...I will call this weekend but you can call me if I forget and yell at me and such.
I say get a Honda Fit...if you gonna buy new.
If you're buying used then get a Corolla or something...those things are pretty damned reliable. My mom has a 99 and has had ZERO problems.

Not yet, but I've driven the corolla's and echo's before, so i imagine it just as uninspiring.
Blake, call me fool, I'll be on vacation next week though. The wagon i wish was full race, but with work i drive almost 80-100 miles a day. I'd like better mileage than the 19 that my wagon gives....that's where the toyota comes in

I'm not trading in anything, plus I'd be a fun car. Francis thought i was nuts too at friday's meet. Heck, that night i saw like 10 of em in that parking lot or driving by.
I say stay stock, stay happy. But i'd never park the s13 on the street. It'd either get towed away or stolen by punks.

Hell yeah rock that shi*!!! Nothing says I'll take azuki beans on my shave ice like a Yaris. Just make sure you spend the extra $2 and get the "S" version.
You could totally auto-x it too. You would be the king of I Stock.

The wagon stays for now.
If you want reliable, good milage, inexpensive upkeep, easy to park anywhere, and still show that you haven't given up the will to live - you know what I'm going to say.....Miata!
hey Chris, what time do you work and about what time do you get to my side of the Likelike?
cause I was thinking, if you buy the car, you could pick me up right before you go to work and drop me off to work.....that way we both save gas and mileage on our suby's.....hehehe..
on a serious note, if you could afford it and it won't affect you financially....**** go for it....

*cough* *cough* *puke* Yuck are you serious? I didn't think people drove these for any other reason thatn being compact, cheap, and good on gas. But even in that case I owuld get a Honda Hybrid, they have even better gas milage a lot more room and look a lot better. The Yaris doesn't even look like a car...its like a Golf Cart on steroids. Anyways if this is what you want go for it, but don't get mad when I point and laugh lol

I think you should calculate how long it will take you to save enough on gas to break even on the 12K it's gonna cost. Add in another 5K for all the fun factor that the Yaris doesn't have.
Then when you figure out it's not worth it, use the money you were gonna spend on the Yaris and supercharge the H6.

If I was to look for a DD, it's got to have some spunk. The Fit and the Yaris are kinda neat looking, but what about the utility? For me, I would also look at the VW Golf.
