Old Group Of Friends @ HRP
Old VHS Footage taken at "Hawaii Raceway Park" in 2004 before it was closed down in early 06.
Me(Dave), Andrew, Chris, Trav, Lei, Brandon, & Matt. We all desided to head down to HRP to hang out and do some racing. This was back when I had my silver 2.5rs....
During a race between Andrew (Black RSX) and Matt (Silver CL), Andrew's timing belt snap (In the video, they argue it was a chain instead. I later found that it was, in fact, a belt. The chain started with 05 and up RSX models.) In the video you can hear the RSX over rev causing the demise of the belt. According to the dealership, the ECU read 9,200 RPM when the belt snap. I guess Andrew was focus on Matt rather than his RPM guage.
We towed the RSX using Matt's car. Not leting the night go to waste, we desided to go go-karts instead.
Tragically, 6 months later after this video was taken. Our friend Andrew was involved in a racing accident that clamed his life. Shortly after Andrew's passing, the group broke apart going our own ways. In case your wondering, that "the chubby japanese fella" looks familiar, it's Matt Higa, before getting involved in drugs and commiting the crime he did earlyer this year (Baby Cyris)...crazy huh?
Also, I included some footage of the HIIC (Hawaii Impreza Club) "Aloha United Way" Charity Cruise 04. It has Joshs old Forester before moving to Kauai, and other long time members cars....

i have some old 808speed video & speedhawaii vol 1 that i want to convert vhs to dvd....do you think 808burners can do it? where are these guys located?
