Unhappy Oil Low

I checked my oil the other day and I was shocked to see I was low. I recently change the oil at 6000 miles I am currently at 9400 roughly. It took a quart and a half to bring it between the two notches. I'm wondering has anyone experience this? I have no oil leaks and I did check the oil when the engine was cold. Any comments would be greatly appreciated. Oh and also I do race on the track but I only get my fair share and i dont over do it.

could be blow by

Under boost, some vaporized oil will be pushed through the crankcase vent system and end up in your intercooler
and to finaly burn up in your combustion chamber.

There are some issues on why an air/oil separator catch container would be an advantage.

The vaporized oil being recyled into the intake can cause detonation.
Its like lowering the octine on your gas.

What the petrol refinery took out, the Cali OBDII law had the Subaru engineers put back in.

If it burns up a quart or more every 1000 miles then you have a problem and should take the car back to the dealer.
