I have a black dot on my left hand, I tryed doing that "How quickly can I poke a pencle back and forth between my fingers without hitting a finger" trick.
The problum is, the faster I went the larger the crowd got. The larger the crowd got, The harder I went until **Bam** pencil through the finger. It the only tatoo I got Ahhhh Kawananakoa dayz....

NB...that phoenix has some nice colors...wish my skin was as white as yours...
that picture shown...I know i was close to 10 sessions @ 3 hours a piece each session. though this was also for the chest as well....after 10 sessions i lost count...i know i was over 3K after almost 1 year of inking....usually went every 2 weeks ...as to let the ink heal...
Joes rates are very reasonable...for big pieces he charges $100 / hr...he is by appointment only and is usually booked around 4-6months waiting list and i believe he is only tackling a few big projects at a time...
What i like about Joe.. is his shading...you wont see too much hard lines in the shading...it kinda blends light and dark as well as your skin tone...he does has his strength and weaknesses like many artist...which he doesnt care to do polynesian tattoos...so he wouldnt be the one youd go to if you want a poly tattoo....probably best to talk to him on what he can and cannot do...
some of his portfolio on myspace: http://viewmorepics.myspace.com/inde...lbumId=1329734

heres a process of how it went:

god damn, you guys got some beautiful work done. Anybody entering that contest for best "ink" in Hawaii or whatever? Any suggestions for shop/artists I'm looking to get some Polynesian work done very soon.
